Barry founded ACS's Los Angeles office in 1981 with a small team of four employees, introducing the local design community—including architects, interior designers, and contractors—to the then-novel concept of custom-designed multi-room audio, video, and control systems. Working from a small kiosk in the Pacific Design Center, Barry quickly gained recognition for his bespoke control panels, which featured buttons for operating tape players, televisions, and even telephones. This unique innovation quickly became a “must-have” among high-profile clients such as Steven Spielberg, David Geffen, and Barbra Streisand.

Barry and his team became early adopters of AutoCAD, using this advanced software to create detailed low-voltage drawings for architects that showcased their custom components, long before pre-manufactured audio-video systems were widely available. Barry also pioneered the use of touchscreen control panels, introducing them in high-roller suites at Caesar’s Palace, Paris, and other prominent hotels along the Las Vegas Strip. This established ACS as an industry leader in programming innovation, particularly for environments requiring versatile user interfaces.

Under Barry’s leadership, ACS’s Los Angeles office set the standard for quality, reliability, innovation, and service, delivering cutting-edge home entertainment systems throughout the region. ACS has built a reputation for tailoring each system to fit the unique lifestyle of each client, balancing sophisticated back-end technology with a simple, intuitive front-end interface.

In his free time, Barry enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and three dogs. He is also an avid tennis and padel player, and he loves hiking and biking in the mountains around Aspen.

In the mid-90s, Josh began his career installing high-performance car audio systems. By 2000, while attending college, his focus shifted to home audio and video systems, leading him to start a company that catered to the growing demand for flat-screen TV and surround sound installations for Circuit City. As these technologies became more accessible and popular, his business grew rapidly.

After earning a Marketing degree from Azusa Pacific University, Josh sold his company in 2004 and joined a prestigious Hi-Fi firm in Bel Air. There, he honed his expertise in designing luxury technology systems for Los Angeles’ elite. Over time, Josh built a reputation as a trusted resource among top design and construction professionals, which eventually led him to join the ACS team in 2013. Today, he continues his passionate pursuit of enhancing his clients' lives through technology, bringing joy, entertainment, and convenience to their homes. Alongside his skilled team of industry veterans, Josh is dedicated to providing a boutique-level service experience for clients and partners alike.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys traveling with his wife, playing sports with his two children, and unwinding in the mountains of Mammoth Lakes.
